Cloning A Drive

I'm using Acronis to clone an 80 GB drive to a 160 GB drive. Will
this leave me with 80 GB free on the new drive, or do I need to
partition into two sections? I ask this because when I restored a
40 GB drive to an 80 GB drive, it shows up as only a 40 GB drive.
