| I have been usin Acronis and Ghost 12 for cloning my partitions on my
computer. The OS is XP Pro. No problems. I just purchaseed Acronis 11
and installed it on my computer. Acronis 11 was downloaded from the
net and not a store purchase. I have the proper password. It went on
with no problems at all but I am not able to make a restore disk. I
have installed and reinstalled it several times to no avail. I might
add my son also downloaded his copy from the net and he had no
problems with the installation also on XP Pro AND he was able to
create a restore disk. We have no idea why his instalttion was
sucessful and mine was not. I hope someone out there can shed some
light on this matter.

Installed OK for me. Try installing it in 'safe mode'.

Immediately after posting I also had a problem (re)installing TI 11.
The fix, for me, was to delete all references to Ti and Acronis from
the Registry (if you don't have Replendent use Regedit), TI v11 then
installed without problem.

What does TI11 do that TI10 doesn't?

| I use Version 11 with no problems, so I can't help you. For details or help,
Acronis maintains a very active forum on their website. Check it out. The
consensus seems to be that Ver 10 is best on XP.

I could not resist the low TI 11 price ($19) earlier this week at
www.newegg.com.
I started reading the user guide.
There are new features, some of which I consider unnecessary, and, in at
leat one case, perilous.
I'll likely say more after I finish reading the user guide.

| I think a review of the program based reading the user guide is of minimal
value, and would be better done in the Acronis Forums. Your mileage may
vary....
