Why do I only have 11 posting in this news group?
|
|
|
| I have an idea that I am missing a lot of postings in this newsgroup
Am I right? And how do I receive them?

| Tools, Get next XXX Headers. XXX will vary. There are other ways to get
them all at once, but there are many thousands....

| Try Tools, Options, Advanced, Maintenance, and check your settings for how
long you keep messages. Change it to suit.
Normally I allow the messages to delete after 5 days. It keeps things neat
and orderly.
If you want to start from scratch, unsubscribe from the particular NG and
then re-subscribe. When you load a batch of headers you always get the
newest unread ones. So each 700 sort of backs you into the newsgroup
history. You can change the 700. I use 100 because that's all I want to
deal with in once sitting.
If you want to search the entire group, it is best to go onto Google Groups.
They are all there.
Good luck.
