| SecondCopy is looking good to me as a backup utility.
To wit:

- It seems to get everything
- It supports scripts (and scheduled scripts, at that...)
- It runs constantly in the BG with no user attention required
- It's error notifications are non-intrusive
- There's no dependence on having a product installed on the PC
where one is doing recovery
- Seems tb bug free so far... (fingers crossed...)

But one aspect seems really lame: the method of renaming
superceded versions of files.
The method I'm seeing results in a directory list that looks like what's at the
end of this post.
Right away, "10th last.... sorts to the top of the list... before "2nd last".
At least it should be something like "0010th last..." and "0002nd last."
But for me, it goes beyond that.
There's no way for me to find out what I have for 00004D59.DAT without slogging
through the entire list.
Seems to me like the naming convention sb something more like
"000-4D59.DAT (0002nd last) and put it on the user to strip the suffix after a
restore. That way, the directory could be sorted in such a way as to group all
files of the same original name.
Sounds trivial maybe... but when hundreds or even thousand of files over dozens
of backup generations are involved it seems to me like a very big thing if/when
I need to recover a good copy of a corrupted or missing file
Am I the only one?
