Want to get a clarification if the following is possible.

First, understand that it is not possible to have more than one
initiators to the robotic control of a tape library.

What we want to achieve here is a HA of a backup media server.
Can we have 2 hosts, one active and one standby, both connected in the
SAN to a FC tape library.

When the active server is down, can the standby server take over the
tape library control (i.e. the robotic controller) without needed to
reboot the standby server or reconfigure the devices ?

If no, what's the technical beats and pieces issues ?

thanks
