Author Cannot restore tape backup to different server??

Hi,

I can't seem to restore backup files onto another server using the
standard built-in Windows NT backup. Backups are stored on one LTO2
tape on server A (Windows Server 2000) using the standard built-in
windows nt backup application but when I try to restore that same tape
to server B which also has an LTO2 tape drive it doesn't allow me. The
option to restore is greyed out?

Both servers run W2K, backups are done using standard ntbackup and
tape drives on both servers are identical (Ultrium LTO 2). Yet we
cannot restore to a different server.

The two servers are on two separate networks so this is our only way
to transfer lots of data between machines.

Please any suggestions would be welcome, this is totally confusing me.

Kind regards,

Rabi

Not really an answer. Try Veritas support with how to transfer data
question.
I believe that MS backup is an older mildly brain dead version of their
older stuff.
