Hi,
I've been trying to find some detailed information/reviews about
zmedia's 1 GB usb flash memory cards, but have found no mention of them
on the net.

These cards are found at computer-geeks and several other online
stores.

Does any body know of them and how reliable they are, any technical
details etc ?

thanks

Hi,
so I bought one of these drives (zmedia Z-1000, 1gb drive) and found
that it really is a small HDD, not a flash memory device.

It uses a 1gb micro drive from cornice.

Some information about the drive is available from

http://news.com.com/Start-up+brings....html?tag=st.rn

and http://www.corniceco.com/products/

The zmedia tech drive is very light, and reasonably quiet (you can hear
occasional clicks as it transfers data). It gets mildly warm. It has a
nice flip-out usb plug that rotates out then right or left, so it can
be used on laptops with various USB port orientations.

It really has 1gb of storage and is FAT32 formatted. I don't know if it
can be reformatted to be NTFS.

thanks
