Greetings-

I've got ArcServe 2000 (V7) on a Win2K server.

This server went down unexpectedly while the scheduled backup job was
in progress.

Now I've got a backup job that refuses to be stopped.

I've tried stopping and disabling the ArcServe services, removing the
tape (I'm using an OnStream ADR 50GB drive) and then restarting
ArcServe. No luck. The job is still shown as "Active" and when I try
and stop it, I get a "This job is still active. Do you want to stop
it?" dialog, which I click "Yes" to. Then I get a "Failed to stop this
job" error message.

Any ideas on how to terminate this stuck job?

Thanks
Gordon

I've got V6 of ArcServe, and have had this kind of thing happen once
or twice. Unfortunately, the only fix I've found is restarting both
the backup server & the server that's being backed up.

Hope this helps,

You need to restart the server. I would also go into the temp folder where
you have the arcserve installed, and delete any files in this folder.
