Hello!

I am trying to evaluate Veritas Backup Exec 9.1 as a backup solution.
I have a Win 2003 machine with a tape drive. In addition to backing up
the server itself, I would also like it to have clients on several
other computers, so they can backup to the central server.

The problem is that upon installation, I am forced to enter a domain
controller administrator account. I do not have a domain controller
nor want to have any. Is this 'active directory' thing, which makes
everything so cumbersome, really neccessay? How can I get around that?
When I did make my win 2003 act as a domain controller, I had terrible
time playing with permissions, and as long as I can avoid this - I
will.

Any ideas?
Thanks!
Amit
