Hi,

Accroding to the HP MSA1500 spec, it does not list Sun Solaris as a
supported platform.
What does this mean?
Can I still connect it to a HBA on Sun box? Will I be able to see the
LUN allocated?

Thanks

I know a company in Germany, they are running Solaris against the MSA
stuff. It's a switched environment with FC9000-64 directors of Inrange
CNT. They are switching now to the Hitachi HDS stuff.

I don't see why not. All supported platform means is that if you can't get
it working HP have (a) tested this scenario and (b) know how to get it to
work and (c) are willing to tell you!

The issues arise if you are going hetrogeneous and have more than one server
connecting to it.
