I am looking for a simple program to archive and search for filenames
in my backup CDs.

I have tried http://medialibrary.sourceforge.net/ and here are the
pros:
- it is open source
- being Java based it works on my win pc but I can hope it will work
also on other system
- it stores data on an open xml format (I might need to change system
in future and convert my data)

But here are the cons I cannot work with:
- poor search interface
- no way to sort results by date (i.e. in which CD is the latest
version of this document?)

Does anybody know of another software that solves expecially the latest
issue?
