| My boss just gave me a hand-me-down Snap Server 4100 that we've had
shelved for a couple of years now. Unfortunately, it won't complete
it's boot and cleanup anymore. Initial startup works fine and the web
interface works almost immediately. I can view information and toggle
some settings (except disk configuration stuff) for about 20 minutes
before I get the error E-mail and the boot dies. The lights continue
flashing, but I've left the server running for a few days and it never
recovers.
I've already done the "four light" full reset. I've tried all sorts of
combinations of error repair setting combinations. The disk status
check shows 5% on our RAID 5 setup and it seems to jump to 85% before
the failure occurs. All the configuration tools show "No disks found."
>From this newsgroups traffic, it sounds like these devices are garbage
which is unfortunate since it's such a cool idea. Here's the error
