Recommendation for new storage setu/device for Windows

| Hello all, this is my first post here, so sorry if i irritate anyone..
I have been mandated to re-structure the storage infrastructure here at
the office. I was looking at the Adaptec Snap Servers. My current set
up is ...
3 Windows servers & a XP Pro box
a) One doing general file serving & the users "My Docs & Desktop"
b) Another doing the users U: drive(network drive to save important
docs to)
c) The other server doing MS exchnage 2000. We also use Arc Serv(yuck)
for back ups to a 160 gig Dell tape drive.
d) And an XP Pro doing SQL server 2005
The above supports 60 workstations all running XP Pro through 2 Dell
powerconect switches(3048 & 3024) of which there are 4 GigE ports
Now i was lookign for a possible solution to ..
1) My general file & storage needs(possibly raid 5 & mirror)
2) Then possible backups to disk rather than tape?(seperate unit other
then above or the same?)
Can anyone suggest structure or plan or docs that might help me to
figure out the best solution without spending a fotune?
Any help appriciated....

| Why needing to update storage. what is your goal with this project?
If you are backing up the entire companies data to a single 160GB tape
i'm not sure a SNAP appliance can be cost justified....
take a look at these MS NAS appliances though as an alternative much
more simple to manage and implement.

They also include a REV drive which makes bakcups very easy!
