| I recently bought a Thecus N2100 YES box. I was after a network disk
which I could store HD video footage on (at least until someone decides
on a DVD format). Basically it has an Intel Xscale chip, 128MB memory
and (I've put in) 2 x 300gb Maxtor eSATA disks.
Turning the box on I get the startup LEDS as expected. It then
configured itself as a JBOD raid array (the default). I then went into
the configuration and changed the RAID setup to RAID 1. The box has
been on since Thursday night STILL apparently formatting the RAID set.
My only option seems to be a hard reset to return the box to factory
settings.
Anyopne had experience of these boxes ? How long should the RAID 1
build take ?
I've sent a support request to Thecus but nothing yet. Typically the
firmware updates are supplied by email, none can be downloaded from
their website.
Thanks for your help
