I have an old FAS760 on loan for a learning system. I've loaded all
8 floppies of 6.5.6 and then listed the disks. I decided to pop up
one disk out so that I could later "add" it and when I rebooted the
system kept saying it couldn't find the image. What pulls here?
I thought loading the floppies put an image on each disk and
pulling one wouldn't matter. What exactly is loaded off the
floppies? And do I have to run something after the floppy load
to distribute or setup the filer?

I'm reloading the floppies with 5 out of the 6 disks in the system
so we'll see what happens.

I don't exactly understand what you mean under "listed the disks",
perhaps that's the right thing to do, but as I recall from 2002
(when I installed 6.1.2R3 on F740) you need to do the following:

- boot from floppies, configure hostname/IP/netmask;
- activate NFS services by using "license nfs=" command;
- mount root volume from trusted host;
- Un-tar 612R3_sysfiles_a.tar file and then run "install_netapp"
script;
- on filer console do "download", then "reboot".

Only at that point you'll have working system. For more specifics
on 6.5.6 release (6.1 and 6.5 *are* different!) you should probably
read installation/upgrade documentation.
