Hi,
I am currently developing a Linux appliance (standard PC) where I would
like to implement a Fiber Channel (FC) sniffer. For this purpose I am
looking for a fiber channel interface (i.e. an HBA) that can be plugged
into a PCI-X or PCI-E bus.
The FC HBA should enable the inspection of all FC traffic at all layers
(FC1-FC4) that passes through and should send low level packets to the
kernel (CPU). Instead of letting the HBA firmware handling the packets
- the HBA is required to pass the FC traffic to the Linux kernel.
Any Ideas about available HBAs for the Linux OS would be welcome.
