Author Replacement for a STK L20 ?

Hello,

We are looking for a replacement of our aging Storagetek L20 (LTO1)

But, it seems that the L-series is "end of life" as SUN sees it, so i
have begun to look at alternatives (otherwise i would probably looked
at
a new L40 with a LTO3 drive).

One vendor had suggested a Tandberg T40 (LTO3) as a replacement.

Anyone here that uses this library ?

Or, should i look for some other vendor, like Qualstar or HP ?

The software is Legato Networker 7.2.1, on Windows 2K3.

With best regards

There's a whole bunch of products in that range:
Adic Scalar-24 (will be replaced soon by a product suspiciously similar to
the Tandberg T40)
Quantum PX-502
SUN C4
Exabyte Magnum-224/448
SUN/STK SL500
etc.

Plenty to choose from. Go with a vendor that has a good service arrangement
in case you run into trouble.

Ok, thank you for your answer.
