| Filescapes.com, a file download portal for various types of files that
can be downloaded off the Internet, has resently been launched.
Filescapes is a combination search engine and web directory for
electronic files. Downloads are free.
Advertisers can also list their websites, which contain downloadable
content, for free or choose to advertise it at an optional fixed daily
rate.
For file uploads, a small storage fee is charged per MByte to cover the
cost of the webserver used. Initially file uploads will be restricted
to 4 MBytes each.
There is a number of free financial software applications and
spreadsheet templates already available on the search engine.

The maximum file size that can be uploaded has been increased to 4
MBytes each.
