This depends solely on your level of experience. I find I can do a whole
hell of a lot more on a *NIX command line than I can pointing and clicking
around Windows or X. This is not to say that Using Windows or X is a "Bad
Thing(tm)" and there's nothing inherintly wrong with using Windows. It
happens to be that I prefer a command line interface for what I do. But
like "vi" versus "emacs" it's about what you know or what you want to
learn. But completely discounting the usefullness of something shows
blatant ignorance. You are spouting opinion, not fact. In the hands of
someone who really knows what they are doing, the command line *IS* both
powerful and efficient. The kinds of things I can do with "find" and "sed"
and other command line tools I could never do through a graphical user
interface. Similarly, there are some thing I can just do easier and faster
with a point and a click.
So I guess while they're going back to sleep, it's time for you to wake up.
