Deb Package Management on Gentoo

| Is it possible to use the debian package management system
on top of a Gentoo system? That is, can I discard the Gentoo
portage system, if I so wish, and use the debian pkg system
in its place without installing everything from scratch?
Thanks,
R.

If you prefer the debian package management system, you can look for apt-get
for Gentoo. i would doubt that such a beast exists because Gentoo (as you
probably know better than I do) has its own dynamic package management
system.
Why not save the data in your /home and /usr/local and install Sid ? Its
bleeding edge plus you get the ease of apt-get.
