I have this on our Debian box:

root@itsc01:~:0>route
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
172.16.12.0 * 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 eth0
default 172.16.12.254 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth0

resolv.conf:
search www.domain.nl
nameserver 192.168.17.249
nameserver 192.87.36.36

Its a severe filtered local network but I have no problem with connecting
Mandrake and SuSE to Internet.

Any suggestions?
