I installed Ubuntu 4.10 and really like it, but haven't been
using it because I cannot get my modem to work. It is
a USR Sportster external modem. The operating system
sees it and sets it up, but I am unable to " activate " it.
When I activate it the box remains checked for just a
moment and then un-checks itself. Any ideas ?

Hi Rod,

Sorry don't have the answer for that. The best option would be to post
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/ and they should be able to give you an
answer. They are the gurus for Ubuntu. I'm still too new at using it lol.
