Debian 3.0 r4 , I am very disappointed
|
|
|
| Hello,
I wanted to install Debian 3.0 r4 on my home computer. I have downloded
, using jigdo, the DVD version. I couldn't install it .... during the
installation of the base system, I package (i guess libcpio) is corrupted.
So I tried a netinstall but doesn't work because it doesnt detect my
Nforce2 network card, neither the wireless car (Netgear WG320v2 TI chipset).
Well I was expecting debian to be the best distribution. I am really
disapointed and I don't want too you any of the other crappy
distribution that I have already tried (redhat, suse, mandrake).
I like Slackware, but it is a nightmare to update or upgrade.
I don't know what to do.
Thank you for you help.

If you want to use debian on newer hardware, use the "testing" branch.
