Hi there !

Known as Schott, I've been using Linux for 6 years and Debian (Sarge,
2.6.8 kernel home made) for about one year. I've decided to use this
distro because maintaining my LFS started to take much more time than I
would think it was worth, especially after my daughter's birth.

I'm really satisfied, especially since I've discovered apt-build which
give me ability to compile with my own specs and comfort of a packaged
distro.

The only thing I found weird is that dependancies seems sometimes foolish.
I need to keep 3 versions of python, 7 of automake... I know that Sarge is
'testing' distro, and if this does not occur in 'stable', that's fine with
me. But if 'stable' behaves this way too, I may try and participate more
actively to the project, to help coping with dependancies using some rules
like "minimum required version".

Any ressources would be appreciated, sorry if this question has already
been answered, this question just poped up in my mind while having a look
to aptitude...

Best Regards
Schott
