Hello to all
I like to learn how work a LAMP Server. For this raison I
bought a small computer (Barebone).
Before I begin to install something, I like to know if they
are kit to download specially for that. I like only to have
a LAMP Server how provider have, without graphic desktop.
Without monitor, keyboard and mouse.
I also like to use it as Samba server.
Could somebody tell me where my I found a good webpage who
describe this kind of installation.
Or are they a special Debian version for that use ?
Many thanks in advance for your help.

| Here are two very good guides. I personally like the first one the most. It really taught me a great deal.
http://www.devside.net/web/server/linux
http://www.lamphowto.com
One note: both installs include php 4 not 5. I have used the first tutorial to set up a Fedora Core 3, RHL 9, amd Trustix 2.2. Next up is Solaris 10 LAMP/firewall. If you want incorporate a firewall with a web-based management I would suggest taking a look at BigFish (http://bigfish.sourceforge.net/).
Good luck!
