Author Problem with kmenu - where is kmenu's config-file?

Happy KDE'ing
After making an apt-get upgrade and a shutdown - start cycle I found that
kmenu is empty, same as kcontrol, mime-settings and all other aspects of
the kde-system linking the gui to any program. After fussing so much around
with the install until I managed to shoot it into the sky I installed
debian anew with netinstaller 2.05, but kept my homedirectory.
Now most thngs run again, but I still have an empty kmenu - a newly set-up
user has an working kmenu. Thus I now know that kmenu has a
configuration-file somewhere, but: Where? ~/.kde/share/config/kmenurc is
not the configuration-file carrying the entries, so:
where is the config-file for kmenu?

I want to know, so that I can copy the correct file over from the dummy user
to my useraccount.

Help and info welcome.
