| Hi...
latest updates of avidemux on Debian Sid are not running on my system.
i have this message trying to run avidemux

I'm still running package avidemux-1:2.1.2-0.1 because that is the newer one
that works.
Other thing, i've notice that is not many debain sid user around here, is
there a proper debian sid newsgroup?

I don't think anyone should be running sid. 
If you want something up to date, run testing (currently etch) then add
specific packages from sid if you really need the updated features. For
example, vlc is not usually available in testing, so you have to install
it from sid.
Even in testing, you will find features missing or not working, but in
general most packages do work and the stability is pretty good. Running
sid is, IMHO, lunacy.
