| I successfully upgraded Etch to Sid
except that the 2.6.8 kernel panics
on init and I have to revert to my
earlier kernel every time I boot.
How do I delete the incorrect kernel
or reinstall it?
Thanks

I suggest you simply install another kernel (linux-image-*.deb). If you use
grub, you should have a menu when booting, prompting you to choose the
kernel - check /boot/grub/menu.lst
