this this? Try "smartctl -H /dev/hda"; install smartmontools if it
isn't installed. Could be a bad or loose hard drive cable.

this this = this year
# smartctl -a /dev/hda

The Hdd log shows trouble at 02:52 not at 05:25 like
the syslog. I thought maybe the backup program was causing trouble: cron daily
starts it at 05:25
It is amazing how many error reports in 1648 hours of service!!!

I think it was a bad connection, had the drive in a removable bay.
I removed it from this bay and wired it direct, hope this cures the
problem.
Thanks
