Hello I am using kxdocer with debian based os. I am trying to add
synpatic to the toolbar but it will not open as root. I am just trying
to open the package with the command synaptic. Is there something I can
add to the command line script to open the dialog for logging in as root?

thanks
bill

Based on the name of the app you are using I will assume you are running
KDE. I believe what you are looking for is kdesu

$ kdesu synaptic

should open a dialog and prompt for the root pwd and open synaptic once
successful.
