| Hi
Right! I have a working video-capture-card, but i can't find a app to
capture video, they only do capture shots of just one frame (pictures)
I want to capture video mostly from the AV input (composite)
What app do you advise? free-software in preference.
Tnanks

Ok, looks like the command "streamer" does what i need.
Does anibody knows a gui for "streamer" (not gstreamer) that does video
capture? working with the command line it's kind of hard especially if you
need to adjust brightness ou contrast...
I have here an "Linux Video Studio" but it uses "lavrec", and somehow lavrec
can not work with my videocapture-card.
I've fond some reference to a "xawtv", have it installed but does not work
too.
Any help guys ?
Thanks

Hi
I allready have v4l working, so that i'm using /dev/video to access my card
and that is controled by v4l.
But i can only find control tools in v4l like "v4l2ucp" that lets me control
brightness and so...
I can't find any "end-user-program" in v4l.
Are you telling me about other v4l application that i don't know about?
Thanks

I meant to write "Try 'apt-cache search video4linux''
I'm trying to tell you how to find all the other packages that mention
video4linux in their descriptions and therefor might be relevant to your
problem.

Yeah... i've have been missing one program, wonder why so many google
searchs never come out with this one: xdtv
Doesn't have a very nice gui but works fine ;)
Now i think have to pass more cables, thought i could do audio capture
trought my SB-Live, but looks like these programs don't permite that.
Thanks
