Install Debian on SATA drive system
|

| Hi,
I have a new PC with SATA2 drives and gigabit networking.
The Debian installer (Sarge) doesn't recognize my network (works ok with
other computers) and the SATA2 drives.
Is there a way to install Debian on my system?
Many thanks,
Joe

If I remember correctly the Sarge installer can install a 2.4 or 2.6
kernel. Make sure you use the 2.6. If that doesn't work try Ubuntu.

Thanks for the reply. I did try to install with the 2.6 kernel.
