Aim On Debian Linux

| I'm new to linux
Does anybody know how i can get Aim on debian linux.
i believe i have version 2.6.

| Go here:
http://www.aim.com/get_aim/linux/latest_linux.adp
Download the correct package for you system, RPM for Fedora, Red Hat,
CentOS, deb for Debian, Ubuntu, and Knoppix. The install accordingly.
dpkg -i aim_1.5.286-1_i386.deb
or
rpm -i aim-1.5.286-1.i386.rpm
You should be off and running. I personally use Gaim, mostly because
it has run so well for so long on Linux, and it supports all the other
IM accounts I have.

Have a try ------------sudo apt-get install Aim
