Hi there

as anyone seen the screen full of "GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB" right after 1st
reboot after a clean installation of sarge?

This is pretty strange... what might have been wrong ?

thanks

LOL... this is getting strange even more:
i've just change the boot sequence in bios from
cdrom-c-a to a-c
and now the system is booting ok from the harddisk.

Cool... never seen nothing like this before

IIRC LILO used to do the same thing if it didn`t install properly (I was
getting something similar on a test install I did about 5 years ago on a
box - I think at the time I had to FDISK /MBR it from a windows boot
floppy and reinstall the boot loader)

No, before i stumpt with the solution, i've reinstalled the boot-loader 3
times whitout any change.
This is a wierd effect from a wierd board.

Now the system is booting ok, if i go back to bios and change the boot
sequence again to cdrom,c,a then i get the "GRUB GRUB" stuff again.

This is a real nice board, it has a chipset integrated usb controller, but
there is no usb ports and no usb inside pins. eh eh eh, there is even an
option to enable/desable usb controller in bios options, but where are the
usb ports?
