Hi.

Iam haveing som trouble with my debian stable server.
When iam sitting on the local network everything goes very slow on the
machine, a file transfer on 7 mb to the server takes about 5 minutes to
complete, and filetransfers on the server (to differents folders) takes
about the same time, so it is not the network there is something wrong
with (I guess?).
Even with ssh the speed is so slow that I can type in a hole line etc.

apt-get install php5

It takes about 5 seconds before the hole line shows up on the screen.

But when iam sitting on a different network and accessing the server
over the Internet the speed and connection to the server is normally.

I've tried to run the top command and the netstat -an but there is no
cpu load or anything, so I guess that it is some kind of DNS trouble but
I cannot figure out what it is?

Can any of you please help me out?
