| Hi,
Ubuntu knows Automatix.
Mandrake knows PLF.
Does debian have also such services?
Greetings,
Toran

What services? Don't tell us what some other distribution "knows". Tell us
what you want.

I believe he's referencing the script that you can run after a fresh
install, that will give you all the media codecs and run various tweaks
on the system. Maybe he's looking for something for debian as well?

| Hi,
There are a couple of things which interest me in particular.
I know how to install Java and flash manually, but the script Automatix
with Ubuntu does the job a lot faster.
Not only does Automatix take care of the really needed Java and Flash for
use with Chikka Messenger (really need this one running), but also VLC,
DVDrip, all mediacodecs, Mplayer and Frostwire are installed in a snap. I
really need my PC up and running fast.
I am really interested in the differences between Debian 4.0 and the
upcoming release of Kubuntu, btw.
Greetings,
Toran
