I have just finished installing LINUX Debian and it is fantasticly
wonderful!! The internet connection was never a problem and the GUI
interface is just out of this world!!
The Internet and all the other Office applications run soooo fast!
However, the font for some applications like 'Unjuta', Dia, The GIMP to
mention a few, are very small. This problem is more obvious when using
KDE desktop, so using 'k->settings->GNOME control Center' I was able to
increase the size of the fonts for the K desktop, but the fonts in
applications; including their buttons, are not big enough to read
withour squinting.
What did I do wrong? and, how can I fix the problem?

TIA

It's best to use KDE's own system for configuring font sizes rather than
Gnome's. I'm not using KDE right now, but I'm sure the option to change
the font sizes is somewhere in the KDE control center (kcontrol).

There are many things to change--buttons, menus, tooltips.
