I did this:
# apt-get remove kdelibs
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer
required:
kdegraphics kdvi
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following packages will be REMOVED:
kde kde-amusements kde-core kdelibs
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 4 to remove and 4 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B of archives.
After unpacking 213kB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]? y
(Reading database ... 141210 files and directories currently installed.)
Removing kde ...
Removing kde-amusements ...
Removing kde-core ...
Removing kdelibs ...
And tried again, but still hung. I guess none of those packages are
causing the problem. Ugh.
