For some value of "better". When I upgraded one machine to Etch, I
also switched to aptitude, as recommended. This cost me a lot of
work, and finally, aptitude wanted to uninstall my printing daemon
lprng when I IIRC reinstalled gthumb (which aptitude had uninstalled
on upgrading). Anyway, I did not want to live without either of these
applications, and apt-get did not have this problem, so I switched
back to apt-get, and have been happy ever since.
