3d desktop activate numeric Enter key?

| I'm using Debian Etch, kernel 2.6.18-5-686 with 3ddesktop 0.2.9, GNOME
2.14.3, US English keyboard.
By habit, of many years, I prefer to use the numeric keypad "Enter" key
whenever having my hand right hand on the far right of the keyboard. I
sought a way to bind that key, rather than, let's call it, the "main
Enter" key alone - the one beside most of the letters. I want the
numeric Enter key to work with 3ddesktop in the same fashion as the
"main Enter" key. Looked in the "keyboard bindings" option for GNOME and
saw nothing attached to "Enter". I thought it best to leave the current
"Enter" key arrangement to xorg.conf to continue to handle. Anyone know
of a way to use the numeric keyboard Enter as well to switch desktops
with 3ddesktop? A command option or some *rc?
Thank you,

I don't know specifically for 3ddesktop, however numlockx is supposed to
do the trick under X.
To install : apt-get install numlockx
To activate in gdm,
see:

or
if you use kdm instead of gdm,
you can check the specific checkbox
kcontrol.
Hope it help

I appreciate your efforts. numlockx only does number lock. 3ddesktop is
something which runs in X. My question is about numeric Enter key rather
than the number lock key. Thank you though!
