deb for Firefox 2.0?

| Does anyone know if there is a deb file for Firefox 2.0?
If I install programs binaries should I install them in the root [/]
directory or in the /usr/ directory? I am the only user of this
machine.
Thanks folks

Due to some legal implications
http://www.internetnews.com/dev-new...cle.php/3634591
Debain has change the name of the Mozilla based redistribution
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/web/iceweasel
" This browser is based on the Firefox source-code, with minor
modifications. Historically, this browser was previously known as Firebird
and Phoenix."

Have a look for iceweasel - as this the the debian name for the port, I
if someone else wants to go into the reasons they can.
Icedove is the debian port of thunderbird.
Hope this helps
