Hi,

Today I woke up and my debian machine and webserver was wrecked...

My /etc/init.d directory was empty so I could not restart mysql, apache
and the rest.

Does anyone know how I can recover my system and reinput the relevant
files in the start up directory?

Does everyone agree that someone performed a malicious move?

thx

Have you tried to boot the system from a liveCD (e.g., SystemRescueCD,
Knoppix, etc) and restore /etc/init.d from backup?
