Of course I looked around on the net for different solutions, but all I
found without jackd were solutions for only streaming music -- or
complete solutions (like muse, but I didn't like it).
Now I'm glad that all the stuff is running, and I don't want to change
it again. :-)

kmixer, I guess ... I keep KDE software and libs away from my computer,
if ever possible. This is a 500 MHz machine, no "modern" computer. And
even if I had more MHz or even GHz, I would not use KDE.
