Author Emacs 22.1 package?

A couple of weeks ago brand new version of Emacs was released.
Currently I am using Emacs 21, which came with Debian Etch. How do I
upgrade to version 22.1?

Etch IS stable, which means no new packages, or updates to packages
that isn't critical (security or bugs that makes a package useless),
goes intto a Debian/Stable system. Upgrading from emacs 21 to emacs
22 is not considered critical.

So if you want to use it, check testing or backport.org. First will
not give you a Debian/stabel system, but a reasonable desktop system
(if you could handle a package breakage that makes your system not
boot). An alternative is repository backport.org, which has backports
of newer packages from testing/sid to stable.
