The following updates are from the distributedcomputing.info website

computing projects (projects in which anyone can participate).

January 31, 2005

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#billion ) Operation Billion
Digits reached level 7 (seven candidates trial factored to 73 bits) on
January 28. To reach level 8 it will trial factor an eighth candidate to
73 bits, and trial factor each candidate to 74 bits.

- the latest version of the
( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap...l.html#moneybee ) MoneyBee
client is available for Windows and Linux as of January 2, 2005. All
project participants should upgrade to the latest version as soon as
possible.

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap....html#lhcathome ) LHC@home may
switch to its new project server, and start handing out work units, this week

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap...ce.html#setinew ) New SETI@home
is preparing to migrate its database to a new server. It will probably
migrate the database early next week.
