| The following updates are from the distributedcomputing.info website
( http://distributedcomputing.info/ ). These updates cover public distributed
computing projects (projects in which anyone can participate).

- the ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#15k2n1 ) 15k Prime
Search found primes 355424355 * 2^259209 - 1 yesterday and

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap...ce.html#setinew ) New SETI@home
will restart its database migration tomorrow at 1 PM EST (6 PM UTC). The
database will be unavailable for several hours during the migration, and
users will not be able to get work units or submit results during the outage.
- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#factoring ) Factoring began
a new project, HP49(100), on October 24, 2004
- on February 3, a hardware problem with the
( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-lsciences.html#d2ol ) D2OL project
server prevented it from distributing work units and collecting results.
The problem was resolved on February 3, and the project server is working
normally now.
- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap....html#predictor )
Predictor@home accidentally sent out several corrupted work units on
February 3, which caused Fortran errors, when it rolled out its new
application. The new application has reduced the amount of data needed for
each work unit. The deadline for returning work unit results is now 7
days. The project is receiving 15,000-20,000 successful results per day.
