** Call for Book Chapters on Parallel Evolutionary Computations
(http://www.isebis.eng.uerj.br) **

Published by Nova Science, New York, (http://www.novapublishers.com)

Evolutionary algorithms and computations are computer-based solving systems,
which use evolutionary computational models as a key element in their design
and implementation. They have a conceptual base of simulating the evolution
of individual structures via the Darwinian natural selection process.
Generally, evolutionary computations require a massive computational effort
to yield efficient and competitive solution to real-size engineering
problems. We seek chapters on all aspects related to the parallelisation of
evolutionary computations.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
* Parallel genetic operators
* Parallel fitness evaluation
* Distributed genetic algorithms
* Parallel hardware implementations
* Applications

The time schedule for this publication is as follows:
* Manuscript submission: May 27th., 2005
* Authors Notification: July 31st., 2005
* Camera-ready submission: August 29th., 2005

If you intend to contribute to this book, please send an e-mail to the
editors (nadia@eng.uerj.br) informing the title of the chapter and its
abstract.

For further details, please do not hesitate to contact the editors Nadia
Nedjah (nadia@eng.uerj.br) and/or Luiza Mourelle (ldmm@eng.uerj.br)
