( http://distributedcomputing.info/ ). These updates cover public distributed
computing projects (projects in which anyone can participate).
May 12, 2005
- new active mathematics project:
( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap-math.html#repdigit ) Repdigit Prime
Problems is searching for primes of the form n * k, where k is a single digit
which can be repeated multiple times
- new active mathematics project:
Mersenneplustwo Factorizations is factoring numbers of the form 2^p+1

- on May 1, ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap....html#predictor )
Predictor@Home had its first participant pass 1,000,000 credits, and passed
the 10,000 hosts per day mark. The project coordinators are still working
on issues with work unit validation.

other projects, is available as of May 8
- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap...evolutionathome )
evolution@home published a progress report on May 10. It is making progress
on its infrastructure and database to automate communication with its clients
and to generate statistics and high scores, and is developing the biological
core for its next client. Also, the project is looking for a volunteer to
host and maintain a discussion forum for it.
