The following updates are from the distributedcomputing.info website

computing projects (projects in which anyone can participate).

June 29, 2005

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap...tml#clickforest ) A Click
for the Forest ends tomorrow. The project needs to raise another 123,000 SEK
(about US$18,000) by tomorrow in order to protect an old-growth forest in
Sweden.

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap...ml#proofreaders ) Distributed
Proofreaders posted its 7,000th unique title to Project Gutenberg on June 27

- ( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap...#einsteinathome )
Einstein@home began distributing work units from its S4 data set yesterday.
Note that work units beginning with 'h1_' (lower-case H only) have been
cancelled, and participants may manually cancel these work units if they have
any.

climateprediction.net's project servers will be down for a few hours today
for database maintenance

released a lot of new work units today

Classic turned off the ability to create new user accounts on June 21. All
new participants are encouraged to use the

BOINC client instead.

BOINC's project coordinators have been troubleshooting some issues with the
project servers, and have added a few new work unit splitters to keep up with
increasing demand from project participants.

Predictor@home's project server is having problems as of June 21. The project
coordinators are working on the problems.

Folding@home has published several new results as of June 8. More results
will be published after the papers are peer-reviewed. The project has
published 24 papers related to its distributed computing work.

- version 4.45 of the
( http://distributedcomputing.info/platforms.html#boinc ) BOINC platform is
available for Windows as of June 6

- beta version 1.30c of the
( http://distributedcomputing.info/ap....html#findadrug ) Find-a-Drug
client is available for testing as of June 13. It has some new
( http://www.find-a-drug.org.uk/v130c.html ) features and bug fixes.
