==================== GCC2006 CALL FOR PAPERS ==========================
The 5th International Conference on Grid and Cooperative Computing (GCC
2006)

Changsha, Hunan, China, October 21- 23, 2006
========================================
===============================

The Fifth International Conference on Grid and Cooperative Computing
(GCC 2006) is to be held on Oct. 21-23, 2006 in Changsha, China
(http://www.vce.org.cn/gcc2006). It will serve as a forum to present
current and future work as well as to exchange research ideas by
researchers, developers, practitioners, and users in grid computing,
web services, and cooperative computing, including theory and
applications. GCC 2006 is the follow-up of the highly successful GCC
2005 in Beijing, China, GCC 2004 in Wuhan, China, GCC 2003 in Shanghai,
China, and GCC 2002 in Sanya, China.

Changsha is a historic and cultural city in southern China. Founded
3000 years ago, the city was originally called Qingyang. As Tanchow, it
became the capital of the later Zhou state (AD 951-960). As Changsha,
it was a leading commercial and cultural center during the Song dynasty
(960-1279). Famous scenic spots in Changsha include Yuelu Academy (a
one-thousand-year-old academic institution), Mawangdui, Xiangjiang
River, Mt. Yuelu and Hunan Provincial Museum. Zhangjiajie, lying in the
northwest part of Hunan,is the first National Forest Park in China
and listed as a world natural heritage by the United Nations, featuring
unique hills, queer ridges and peaks, tranquil valleys, thrilling
streams and abundant plant and animal resources.

TOPICS OF INTEREST
GCC 2006 will emphasize the design and analysis of grid computing and
cooperative computing and their scientific, engineering, and commercial
applications. The main topics of interest include, but not limited to:
